Mandira Bedi's Indian Designer Sarees at Lakme Fashion Week 2014

Mandira Bedi showcased stunning Indian designer sarees at this year's Lakme Fashion Week. The sarees were made with silk in vibrant colours of orange, pink and light blues. Her sarees emphasised the model's curves through the use of gold borders and stripes that lined the fabric. They were elegant and bright, evoking the atmosphere of a beach summer.

Beautiful bollywood star looking gorgeous in bridal lehenga

JJ Valaya's India Bridal Fashion Week was a stunning event, inspired by Spain and so aptly named The Maharaja of Madrid. The clothing range evoked chivalry and daring conquests as well as romance! Appearing at the closing of the show was the bollywood star Esha Gupta in a stunning bridal lehenga.

Indian Bridal Wear by Neeta Lulla at IBFW Mumbai 2013

Neeta Lulla’s collection at the Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week held in Mumbai focused on ‘The Bridal Goddess’. A gorgeous mix of Indian bridal wear, classic, contemporary or resort: her collection had distinctive styles - modern edgy, vintage elegant, fun & stylish. 
Bollywood actors Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh walked the ramp as Lulla’s showstoppers. On the fashion catwalk we have seen a variety of beautiful Indian bridal wear ranging from saree drapes to structured skirts teamed with classic jackets, from sarees and cylindrical shapes with tubular tunics to light flowing skirts.

Manish Malhotra, the king of bling has expanded his retail empire by opening his first ever flagship store in Delhi, showcasing different bridal pieces but especially glamorous bridal lehengas. The store will hold his signature pieces as well as his recent lines.

True to Manish’s style, the flagship is located in an imperial haveli that has a mix of modern touches. Spread over an expansive 6,000 sq feet, the décor has shades of gold and gray.

Fashion designer Ritu Kumar has launched a leather accessories collection with Indian prints like Jamavar, hand-block and chintz. Colours like dark reds, browns and blacks highlight the beauty of the prints, said a statement.
Simple leather has been beautified with hand printed and machine embroidery to create a three-dimensional effect.
Available in stores from November, the price range for the collection, which includes satchels, laptop, iPad cases, sling bags and wallets, starts at Rs.4,000.

After her unforgettable show at Lakme Fashion Week 2013, Anita Dongre is said to be showcasing her new Winter Festive Collection, named Jaipur Bride, during a two-day trunk show in New Delhi on September 13 and 14.
Bridal lehengas and anarkalis are expected to appear on the catwalk. Obviously, the collection by Anita Dongre features the season’s hottest colors like hot pink, lime greens, corals and the classic gold and cream.

The talented designer duo Abraham Thakore has recently created a loungewear collection exclusively for Harrods of London.


The collection is going to be launched over the autumn season and incorporates sophisticated and elegant styles, as every creation branded Abraham Thakore.
Looking at the amazing coordinated robes it is easy to catch the suggestion of the two designers: to appear chic during the coldest season of the year, you have to wear a lot of pure wool and silk in classic designs.
To accessorise the look, there are also delicate wash bags and laundry bags, included in the collection.

The collection showcased by Payal Singhal at the last LFW W/F was divided in two parts.

The first part was an exciting presentation of traditional wearing with graphic prints in a palette of black and white. The second one was more influenced by western fashion.


The collection branded Payal Singhal was inspired by the symmetry and the relationship between nature and architecture. Looking at this pictures we can imagine a Persian style of garden where the space is divided into four equal parts - Such a chic style!
