1) Rarely seen on a bride, black this time was seen quite a lot in the catwalks especially in combination with gold.

2) White seems not to be a taboo anymore and Indian designers were using it for their modern brides.

3) The Sari Gowns was the real novelty of the fashion week, combining the Indian traditional draped saree shape with the "easy-to-wear" attribute of the more western bridal gowns.

Indian Bridal Wear by Neeta Lulla at IBFW Mumbai 2013

Neeta Lulla’s collection at the Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week held in Mumbai focused on ‘The Bridal Goddess’. A gorgeous mix of Indian bridal wear, classic, contemporary or resort: her collection had distinctive styles - modern edgy, vintage elegant, fun & stylish. 
Bollywood actors Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh walked the ramp as Lulla’s showstoppers. On the fashion catwalk we have seen a variety of beautiful Indian bridal wear ranging from saree drapes to structured skirts teamed with classic jackets, from sarees and cylindrical shapes with tubular tunics to light flowing skirts.

Bridal Sarees and wedding lehengas to end India Bridal Fashion Week 2013!

Saturday was the sixth and final day of India Bridal Fashion Week. The day started with Azva’s jewellery show which included gold jewellery crafted by some of the best craftsmen in the country.

Tarun Tahiliani then brought the curtains down with style by showing beautiful Indian bridal clothing. With its floral bridal sarees and embroidered wedding lehengas, the collection left the spectators speechless.



The 2014 edition of the India Bridal Fashion week is set to take place from July 22 to July 27 in Delhi.

The Start of IBFW ‘13 with Selection of Beautiful Indian Wedding Outfits


As to be expected, the start of Indian Bridal Fashion Week 2013 came with a wide selection of Indianwedding outfits. It started with JJ Valaya and the collection of ‘The Maharaja of Madrid’ about a fictitious voyage of a Monarch fascinated by Spanish culture. It was a set of extravagant pieces and was certainly a visual treat for the audience!
