The designer opened the Lakme Fashion Week's 2014 Winter Festive edition in Mumbai on the evening of the 19th, with a show along with Masaba Gupta's show.

Here is a look at the collections on the ramp. The tones were metallic mostly, but with also some splashes of colours like Red and Blue. All in metallic tones. The silhouettes were absolutely stunning - structured forms, gowns and corsets - very typically Amit Aggarwal. A dream like collection that is sure to have toned-down commercial versions that are going to be seen on many celebrities very soon!

Fusion Fashion: Indian Trousers at Lakme Fashion Week

Bomber jacket and zippers skilfully presented in a new-age Indian context. That’s what Nupur Kanoi did, giving fashion lovers another taste of her version of fusing sensibilities. On similar lines, you could take a simple kurta and team it with a pair of well fitted Indian trousers. For that bad a** edge, throw on a cool biker jacket over the look. Remember to keep the colour story balanced using similar tones as opposed to a stark colour contrast.

Fusion fashion is all about telling stories with the way you put a look together. Global Desi’s a/w ’13 showcase presented influences from tribal and gypsies, that were interestingly fused to form a look that is cool and free spirited. Printed indian trousers teamed with embroidered kurti tops can form the base for a fun look. A cool desi-graphic tote, a printed bandana and a pair of shades would add that sense of ‘street chic’.
The indian trousers have proved their versatility once again! At Krishna Mehta‘s winter/festive ’13 show at LFW, we saw model, Candice Pinto working a look that had a flow-y asymmetrical kurta worn over a pair of wide-legged pajamas. You could try to personalize this look with a voluminous flared kurta over a pair of printed palazzos.

Karisma Kapoor Wears Anita Dongre

We have already seen the beautiful Karisma Kapoor wearing high quality Indian designer clothes, like the ones from Vikram Phadnis seen at the Lakme Fashion Week 2013.

The Bollywood celebrity was recently spotted in Anita Dongre at a real estate event in Delhi. She chose a boat-neck tunic paired with churidar and she complemented with a pair of golden Indian earrings.

We loved so much the delicacy of the outfit! She should wear more often Anita Dongre, don’t you think?

Have a look on these fashion trousers!

Anita Dongre recently launched AND, her first high-street western inspired label, and followed it up with another, Global Desi, for a chic and ethnic style. Cool Indian Trousers Showcased at Lakme Fashion Week

While wondering about the trends for the upcoming season, we realized that black and white are the two colours that cannot miss in every wardrobe. On day 6 of LFW W/F 2013, the Indian designer Reliance Trendz showcased how to mix these two tones with style.

Main characters of this season are trousers: wear them as shorts in black matelassé leather for an evening out, choose long skinny Indian trousers in black for the office, or a model in white leather for going out with your friends.

Be stylish and choose to wear Indian trousers in every occasion!
