Research suggests that designer Indian clothes, particularly sherwanis and salwar suits, are more popular now in Pakistan than ever before.

This is not just a one-way exchange though: many Pakistani designers are looking for an entrance to India's fashion market.Top designers from across the border like Fahad Hussayn, Sania Maskatiya, Elan by Khadijah Shah, HSY and Sana Safinaz were also there at the India Bridal Week 2013.

Anita Dongre's first jewellery line, "Pinkcity", inspired by Mughal grandeur, was launched this month in association with Jet Gems.

The jewellery house, in fact, translates the designs into Indian earrings using their artisans, while designers benefit from the jewellery brand's manufacturing set-up. 
Couturier Tarun Tahiliani, as well, has recently showcased his first range of bridal jewellery at IBFW and has reported that his collaboration with Azva gave him access to craftsmanship from Junagadh, Mumbai and Kolkata for his wonderful Indian earrings.

Bollywood Celeb Katrina Kaif Chooses Indian Clothes for Sister's Wedding

Whilst British-born Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has been making headlines recently by eloping with alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, she is now apparently back in London to plan her sister Natacha's wedding.

No doubt Katrina will be looking for the perfect Indian clothes and bridalwear for her sister, as well as finding a luxurious venue in the capital. Not much information has been released, but what is known is that the nuptials are scheduled to commence in September.

Katrina has commented that she will be personally supervising the menu, and that she will return to Mumbai after the ceremonies to get back on set. We look forward to seeing the amazing Indian clothes and hearing more information!
