On The Other Side Of The Fashion Show

Yesterday was the Fashion Show « East meets West » by Imperial College’s Indian Community,
held at the Phoenix Theatre.

If you were lucky enough to be part of the audience, you got to enjoy the view of amazing outfits, impressive dance routines and gorgeous girls.

As I was backstage, I witnessed all the hustle and bustle, the general excitement and for some, the stress due to an upcoming performance. It was really rewarding to be « on the other side » for once and help make the show happen !

Go check out the pictures of the event on our Facebook and Pinterest page !

And don’t forget to register for our Imperial College Contest, you might win a gorgeous necklace by designer Suhani Pittie : http://strandofsilk.com/imperial.

East Meets West? We Meet Both!

Did you guys know that Strand of Silk is currently working with Imperial College London for their event “East meets West”?
Following this event is one of the first and most relevant responsibilities I have been assigned so far as an intern.

The event is now at its 21st edition, and in the past it was hosted in the most important theatres in London.
This year the event will take place in the Phoenix Theatre.

As usual, the Imperial College Indian Society created different choreographies for the teams of performers in the West and East segments.

It was beautiful for me to assist to the rehearse and choose some of the outfits for the performers in both segments!

Don’t miss the next updates on this and the other events in the Strand of Silk calendar!
