Anita Dongre recently launched AND, her
first high-street western inspired label, and followed it up with another,
Global Desi, for a chic and ethnic style. Both the brands have been so
successful that the designer felt it was the right time to showcase them on a
big fashion platform like the Lakme Fashion Week, recently concluded.
AND and Global Desi had indeed a joint
show. Global Desi by Anita Dongre showcased a gypsy chic collection inspired by
the energy of music festivals, meanwhile, AND took us back to the fashionable
‘70s with flared bottoms, bold prints and solid colours.
