It seems like Marchesa designers decided to make a bold move
during this year’s Fashion Week in New York.
We were used to seing A-list celebrities wear
their dreamy dresses on the red carpet, but they apparently moved aside from
their fairytale inspiration.
For their fall collection, Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman got
influenced by “the spirit of India in the 1960s” and came up with embroidery,
fringe and saree weaves for their evening gowns. The looks were very
Bollywood-esque on the catwalk and didn’t leave the audience indifferent.
I will let you judge through these few pictures what you
think of this change in style.
